WINGMAN is a universally designed toilet seat that has extended platforms (“wings”) on both sides of the seat to provide additional support to those who need assistance lowering and/or raising themselves from the toilet. This device, which can be installed in homes and public restrooms, is universally designed to meet the needs of many individuals, including those with arthritis, muscle or joint pain, people who use wheelchairs, individuals with a temporary disability, those experiencing episodic injuries or rehabilitating from an injury, and/or individuals who are overweight or experiencing rapid weight gain.
The “wings” are integrated into the toilet seat and feature ergonomic palm grips to provide users with increased support and stability as they transfer to and from the seat. WINGMAN is designed to sit solidly on a regular or elongated toilet basin. It can be bolted down with standard U.S. or European mounting holes as used in any other standard toilet seat. WINGMAN is also an approved option in the State of Colorado for all ADA toilet compartments, making it first universally approved toilet seat solution for home, public and workplace toileting facilities in the state of Colorado.
Prior to using WINGMAN, please consult a Primary Physician and a Physical/Occupational Therapist. When WINGMAN is properly installed, it will resist vertical and lateral movement at the hinge and stay tightly bolted. If it does not, please have a professional plumber check the installation before continuing use.
