The LTV 900 System is a portable ventilator designed for use by individuals with breathing disabilities. The size of a laptop computer, this compact unit works with low pressure/low flow oxygen sources and offers the features of a full-sized ventilator. The unit provides volume control. pressure support, and spontaneous breath types with a breath rate of zero to eighty per minute and a tidal volume of 50 to 2000 milliliters. This compressorless system offers low pressure oxygen bleed in. Manual breath gives a single volume or pressure control breath. The unit is equipped with control locks with a choice of easy or hard unlock methods. Variable alarms include apnea interval, high pressure limit, low peak pressure, low minute volume, and alarm volume. Fixed alarms include disconnect, low and lost external power, and low and empty internal battery. Patient monitors include peak inspiratory pressure, mean airway pressure, total breath rate, exhaled tidal volume, total minute volume, calculated peak flow, real-time airway pressure, and others. The unit also offers a choice of languages in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish; selectable date format; and settable date and time. This unit features an intuitive control interface with large, clearly organized, easy-to-read, color-coded displays; alpha-numeric displays; and one-button operation. POWER: The unit can be used with external alternating current (AC), an external battery hookup, a car lighter hookup, or an internal battery. The internal battery provides one hour of temporary power and the external battery provides three or nine hours of power, depending upon the battery selected.
