Nuance TALKS is voice output software for cell phones and PDAs (personal digital assistants), designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The software runs on mobile phones from Nokia and other manufacturers that use the Symbian operating system, and provides speech output for cell phone settings, contact directories, caller ID, text messages, help files, the Nokia Web browser, and other functions. It also supports external braille input/output devices (not included) and many third-party applications, such as IM+ (Instant Messenger), the Wayfinder GPS application, and the SolvoEd dictionary.
