The Simulator II is an assessment and evaluation system designed for use as part of physical therapy of the upper extremity and hands. With measures in both isotonic and isometric modes, this system can replicate most upper extremity functional activities, including lifting, to support the evaluation of strength and functional capabilities. It comes with software with routines for extensive return-to-work assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs). Using this software, the therapist can customize and personalize treatment protocols. Primary applications include baseline strength measurements, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, chronic pain rehabilitation, functional progress analysis, industrial rehabilitation, isolated joint testing, neuromuscular Rehabilitation, orthopaedic Evaluation and Rehabilitation, performance Evaluation and Training, upper Extremity rehabilitation and hand therapy, work / task simulation , and work conditioning / hardening. The Simulator II simulates hundreds of real-world activities, using the natural feel of isotonic resistance. The computer-controlled resistance level can match anything from the delicate resistance of turning a small key to the high load of lifting a heavy box. The therapist can either select from a list of preset treatment templates, or design customized treatment programs that meet the individual needs of a clent. For documentation of return to function, the software automatically generates reports with graphs showing functional deficits or progress in functional capacities. The unit's touch screen has large buttons with simple selections so patients can actively operate their treatment routine as they progress from one exercise to the next, which keeps them involved and motivated. A computer cart is included with the main unit. POWER: 110-125 volt circuit, 60 Hz, 15 amps. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Base of main unit is 42 x 36 inches; computer care is 25 x 20 inches. Height of main unit is 83 inches. WEIGHT: 575 pounds (main unit).
