The Read and Tell Intermediate Collection is an academic, reading, language and vocabulary tutorial program designed for children from second grade through fifth grade who have cognitive or learning disabilities. The program features Picture-Assistive Literacy which helps children independently read for meaning. Thirty chapter books are summarized with concept and vocabulary considerations. Each completed lesson contains picture-assisted chapter summaries and quizzes, vocabulary flashcards and definitions. This program requires PixWriter (see separate entry), and children use the included Literacy Support Pictures in the PixWriter word banks to retell the chapter and answer quiz questions. The book list includes: "Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie," "Because of Winn-Dixie," "Dear Mr. Henshaw," "Ella Enchanted," "Fourth Grade Rats," "Julie of the Wolves," "Little House on the Prairie" and "Maniac Magee." SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: PixWriter version 2.0 or higher (see separated entry) and Adobe Reader.
