The Visit Alerting System is a doorbell and telephone signal system designed for use by individuals with hearing disabilities. The portable system notifies of a ringing doorbell by issuing a "ding dong" sound and long visual flashes; notification of a ringing telephone is provided with a wable sound and short visual flashes. The system features a volume control switch and operates at a maximum distance of 65 feet between the transmitter and receiver. System 1 includes a doorbell transmitter, a personal receiver, and an instruction manual. System 2 (sold separately) includes one telephone transmitter, one personal receiver, one nine-volt battery, and an instruction manual.
