The Link-to-Cell Bluetooth Cellular Convergence System, model KX-TG7742S, is an amplified, hearing aid compatible, large button cordless telephone with speakerphone and answering machine designed for use by individuals with arthritis or who have low vision or are hard of hearing. The included Link-to-Cell technology links the phone up to two cell phones via Bluetooth; allowing the user to transfer up to 600 names and numbers from the cell phone, and make and receive calls on the handset or a Bluetooth headset. The KX-TG7742S system includes two handsets, DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) 6.0 technology for interference-free communication, talking caller ID with five handset redial memory, 3,050 name and number phone book, a 1.8-inch white backlit handset display, LED light-up indicator, dial keypad with large buttons on base, amplified handset volume with dedicated volume key, intelligent eco mode, tone equalizer, and call block. It also has a silent mode, ringer ID, intercom (handset-to-base and handset-to-handset), up to 3-way conference capability, and a handset locator function as well as hold, mute, flash, clock and alarm functions. Up to six additional handsets (sold separately) can be used with the system. Each handset also has a headset jack. A belt clip is included, and the phone can be mounted on a wall. The answering machine has a message alert light-up indicator and a recording capacity of approximately 18 minutes. Available display languages are English and Spanish.
