The Social Skills for Employment and Life Skills is a personal skills tutorial program designed for use by high school students or adults with cognitive or other disabilities. The curriculum, which is part of the Life Skills Curriculum, has 21 duplicatable books, 21 duplicatable CD-ROMs, and 21 online lessons that equip students with the knowledge and skills to set goals for themselves and make better personal choices. Students can use this curriculum individually or in groups. Titles include Cooperation in Groups; Problem Solving; Decision Making; Responding Behaviors; Group Rules and Roles; Risk Taking; Important / Critical Situations; Self-Concept; Interpersonal Relationships; Self-Control; Loneliness; Sickness, Then Death; Negotiation Social Awareness; Non-Verbal Communication Skills; Social Risk Taking; Peer Pressure; Values Clarification; Persuasion; Verbal Communication Skills; and Planned Ignoring. In addition to the duplicatable books, duplicatable CD-ROMs and online lessons, the curriculum includes: teacher’s guides, lessons plans, record keeping logs, pre/post-assessments, alignments to CASAS and Job Corps Career Success Standards, certificates of achievement, and other support materials. All of the materials are duplicatable after purchase. In addition all print materials are available in digital format (Word and PDF) at no additional cost, after purchase. This allows the print to be enlarged and/or the materials to be put into alternate formats. All of the interactive CD-ROMS and online lessons have audio and print, along with companion books.
