The CommandEar is a personal amplification system that can be used by individuals who are hard of hearing. This headset-style system can be used to hear sounds up to 100 yards away. The unit amplifies sound up to 40 decibels. The CommandEar's dual wind resistant microphones provide stereo sound in 360 degrees direction. A 3-band equalizer enables custom tone selection in the bass, mid-tone, and treble ranges. Tone adjustments can be made while the system is in use, allowing the user to turn down distracting background noise and turn up conversations and other high frequency sounds. A balance volume control allows the user to adjust for hearing differences in each ear. To protect the user's hearing, the CommandEar has two power settings - (1) LMT with which loud sounds are heard at 70 decibels while soft sounds are continuously amplified, and (2) MAX which activates an automatic shut-off circuit for sounds over 95 decibels. The unit has an output jack to record what the user hears, and an input jack for listening to a radio while monitoring surrounding sounds. The headset is low profile and lightweight, and folds flat for storage. It comes with interchangeable miniature 2-inch ear cushions or sculpted air/foam full size ear cushions. POWER: Uses 2 AAA batteries that last 100 hours. WEIGHT: 7.6 ounces. COLOR: Black or forest green. WARRANTY: 1 year warranty on parts and labor. Lifetime repair service available after one year for minimal charge.
