Show Me – Lite is a perceptual training and reading and vocabulary tutorial program designed for use by parents or teachers working with children with developmental disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to teach a child to recognize and name living and non-living objects in an interactive way. The app includes pictures and animations from the following categories: animals, birds, flowers, fruits, musical, instruments, shapes, vegetables, and vehicles. The app is organized into multiple "Learn and Play" sections, each of which has a "Learn" part and a "Play" part. A picture or animated picture with its written name is displayed along with voice prompt in each "Learn" portion. In the "Play" part, the left side of the screen shows the instructions for the activity, and the right side displays four boxes with one picture or animation inside each box. The child is asked to tap the picture or animation specified in the instruction. The child is rewarded with a cheerful animation for each correct response. A score screen appears at the end of the activity, and a transition animation is shown between each section. Available languages include English, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. COMPATIBILITY: For use with an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 4.0 or later.
