The Micro-Tech Informer and Informer Deluxe, models 81781 and 81791, are wandering patient systems designed for use with individuals with cognitive disabilities or Alzheimer's disease or individuals at risk for falls to monitor when individuals get out of bed or rise from a wheelchair or chair. Both units feature top-mounted flashing lights to help to locate the monitor; dual button alarm reset to deter resident tampering; 0-2 second delay option for restless residents; and an audible low battery alert. In addition, the Informer Deluxe includes a nurse call option that sounds and alarm at the nurse call station; an AC power adapter option to help minimize battery use; multiple alarm tones; and a hinged battery cover. Both versions also have a slim mounting that clip can be replaced with the optional wider headboard version; a hi / low volume control; integrated cushion protector; and a detachable strap that makes facilitates positioning on wheelchairs. POWER: Requires a 9-Volt battery (not included).
