The Robomower, model RL1000, is a robotic lawnmower designed for use by individuals with mobility, balance, walking, or lower extremity disabilities, arthritis, or spinal cord injury. It mows, returns to the charger, and goes back out to mow as scheduled by the user. This mower can handle up to a one-acre lot. The unit offers six blade settings in the front and two in the rear and features manual and automatic mowing modes, knobby drive wheels, and theft guard with password protection. An edger is included. Programming is accomplished through a user interface with a liquid crystal display (LCD) display panel and audio with menus designed to be intuitive and easy-to-use. Safety features include child guard, lift sensor, touch-sensitive bumpers, and a departure buzzer that sounds five minutes before scheduled departure.
