The Airpulse PK is an alternating pressure air flotation wheelchair cushion system designed for use by individuals who currently have or who are at high risk for pressure sores. Alternate air cells are automatically inflated/deflated to the desired firmness on an adjustable timed cycle. This action is designed to change pressure contact points and stimulate circulation to the compressed tissue. The cushion system includes cushion, cushion cover, controller, controller cover and battery charger. The cushion is made of soft, durable neoprene (no latex) and has a series of air cells shaped to fit the contours of the body for comfort and support. The air cells are reinforced with internal air bladders for added strength and durability. The controller is portable, can be fastened to the chair, and has a visual and audio low pressure alarm. Cushion systems are custom made to the individual's specific physical characteristics. POWER: Uses an internal rechargeable battery, a 24-volt power chair battery or both. OPTIONS: Incontinence covers and a remote control. DIMENSIONS (DxW): Available in any size required from 15 x 15 inches up to 24 x 24 inches. The controller is 8 x 5 x 3 inches.
